Would you want to be on a plane with a flight attendant over size 18?

Looks like the Delta/Northwest Flight Attendants Union is fighting over the size of the new uniform. They're complaining citing a form of discrimination that they don't offer their new fancy red dress over size 18, and up to a size 28. Now I'm not into ladies fashion, but if I recall, a size 28 is pretty big in women's dress sizes. As narrow as the aisles are in a plane, I'd think a flight attendant that size would have a hard time navigating themselves down the aisles and around the plane. Seems like a safety hazard to me. How about it girls? Inform the uninformed. Is a women's dress size 18 - 28 as big as I think it is, or am I overexagerating the issue?

I've always believed "Just because it comes in your size, doesn't mean you should be wearing it".
So, these size 28s, are they flight attendants on the planes now?
How big is a 28? I probably should get that visualized correctly in my head first.

Looking at a dress chart online, women who wear size 28 would have a bust between 52-53 inches, a waist 50-51 inches, and hips 59-60 inches.

A 180lb woman of average height might wear a size 14 or so, if that gives you any frame of reference.

Well, I'm sure we'd (referring to people like me) would love size 0-10 (depending on your tastes) models as attendents, but how well did Hooter's Airline do again?

I think there has to be a limit though. If a size 28 female (or whatever the limit is) can't physically do the job, i.e. fit through the aisles or into the crew area onboard the airplane, they have no business working there.

If she can do the job in the physical environment it exists in, I'll find no fault. But they really do need to be able to fit nicely down the aisle and slip in between seats to let others by.
Right now there is a guy at work who's weight has become a problem for us. It's such an uncomfortable position to be in, but somehow it has landed directly in my lap.

if you are physically capable of doing the job you should get the job
you cant not hire someone because they're black but if they're fat its ok??
i agree i like to see a good looking girl weather she's working on a plane or walking through wal mart but im not going to discriminate
