XBOX or PS3

I have both, I like the PS3 because the frame rates are faster during online play, even though the 360 does have more frequent updates.

Xbox, one little word for the reason why, Halo.
Maybe when Gran Turismo finally comes out there finally would be a game I'm interested in. But I wasn't a big fan of the demo, the handling physics left a lot to be desired.

I have an Xbox and really love it, but with the price of consoles, I will be switching to PC gaming.

i have PS3 and the Wii.I actually like the Wii better. I like how it it interactiive and the games. PS3 doesnt have many good games right now. but they will soon and all the features with is i would go with PS3 if u had to chose between that and 360

But i would chose Wii if u included all 3!

I say go with XBOX 360. It may not be the best system, but it has the most and best games (including Halo 3) and you can't beat XBOX Live.

the reason i did this poll is to find out which you guys actually would be using: blueray or hd-dvd. since xbox has hd-dvd and the other thread says gamers will control who wins the fight, id say hd-dvd will :)

I will not support sony because they lost what gaming is all about, and made it so unafordable. So x-box all the way

The whole reason I bought PS3 was for blue-ray. And I'm taking it in for service or a new one. It keeps pausing during blue-ray playback. Drives me crazy. Didn't do it at first but it does it on every movie now.

I am a die hard Playstation guy. I love my PS3. I justified paying the huge sticker price because of the Blu-Ray. Figured 500 bucks for the PS3 or 900 bucks for a Blu-Ray player.

For me, 360 is the choice. Never owned the orginal xbox and never owned any PS. Was a PC gamer and that was getting to expensive when it came to updating the machine for newer games.
500 bucks (PS3) is a tough pill to swallow for a gaming console. If blu-ray movies were a clear winner over HD-DVD than it would be justified in my eyes.

Im also trying to figure out which console to get. Im either going with Xbox 360 elite or PS3. So far im still not sure
PROS AND CONS
PS3: $399 now right? Has blue ray. Can play all my ps2 games on it. Dosent have as many malfunctions as Xbox 360 did. 60 gig hard drive. NOt many great games yet. Can play almost all their games on my PS2
Xbox 360 elite: $449. Has hddvd. Better variety of games most are only availible on xbox. Halo. Way better online play. 120 gig hard drive. Over heats needs cooling fan.
Im leaning towards xbox but still not sure yet.

I don't like any of them except Wii!!! My uncle has it at his house at the lake and I think it's a blast! At least from a girls' perspective...never cared for video games before since I was a child and rocked out my Atari

I agree with Bjoe and Kerriann. The Wii is awsome. You cant beat Mario or Zelda plus how interactive it is.

Wii is far from perfect, graphics still have a long way to go, plus I feel more games have to be designed specifically for the Wii. We just got Man Hunt 2 for the Wii (We have 360 and Wii), and we all liked it better for playstation. The movements just got horribly repetitive. The one exception is of course Tiger Woods, which is ridiculously fun to play on the Wii.
That withstanding, the Wii holds it own in a different way. Core gamers will never take the Wii seriously. But it is super fun to play and girls always love to play when they come over to the house.

Ya, I'm definitely taking the girls' stance on Wii - graphics and all that stuff don't really appeal to us in any way. Sorry boys, we just have much more "important" things to worry about being top notch (burberry or coach bag???) :) We have our hang ups too! Wii is just something fun for us to do and make an @$$ out of ourselves doing it!

The Wii is awesome for family fun, and I wish the other game systems would follow the Wii's suit. Xbox 360 has alot more games, and ablilties than the PS3 (Love Forza 2). However the PS3's blueray is a good perk, other than the pausing which is from overheating. The 360 also has or had a cooling problem, which would cause it to lock up. You can buy aftermarket fans for them, which I did, but they also have problems from robbing voltage from the console. Dang I sound like a nerd. Anywho, Im 27, married with a kid, and I still love playing games. My wife doesn'yt like me throwing down lots of money for them (like the wireless wheel, or guitar hero), but I just get her something she likes and she forgets about it.
