xenia not growing well

In my 58g i have a little xenia. I have a 400w mh 10k xm bulb. It is on for about 7 hours a day. My xenia was growing like crazy in my old tank w/ vho, but now it doesn't grow very fast at all. Mushrooms and hammer coral are doin fine. All parameters are good.....but i don't dose anything for calcium or alkalinity(i didn't in the old tank where it was going crazy) Any ideas? Ohh yeah, it is placed high in the tank, off to one side. Moderate flow.

hmmm......you really should dose calcium for the hammer but the xenia doesn't need it...
The brighter light may be effecting it cause it was under low light before.....try lowering it to the sand and gradually bringing it to the top.
if it doesn't get better after that try dosing iodine
Good Luck

I don't know my calcium and alkalinity lvls because my stupid ate the test kits! I will get more and test. In the old tank it would stay about 360 w/o dosing anything.
The vho actually looked ALOT brighter than the mh. The mh is more watts though. Pretty weird. I guess the PAR is higher w/ the mh.
