IME if you test your Calcium and ALK and adjust them to balanced levels and stop dosing Iodine they will start pulsing again.
Also look into the age of your light bulbs...

I read somewhere in a coral book that sometimes xenia can stop pulsing for unknown reasons and absolutely nothing be wrong with it. I bought some and it has stopped pulsing also. The currents in my 90gal are strong and I figure that might be a reason that I cannot see it pulse. I have seen Xenia in a tank without a sump pulsing because there was not a strong current. I don't know if you have a sump but I think that's why mine is not pulsing.

Iodine dosing is fine as long as you have a test kit and keep the levels at a balanced, recommended level. It is the same as everything else, don't add it if you don't need it, but add it if your levels are low.

I agree with mudplayerx that if Iodine is low then it is OK to add it to bring it back up to natural seawater levels.
My problem with that advise is the accuracy of hobbiest level test kits. Last time I looked (last year) there was not a test kit available that could reliably tell the difference between no Iodine and ten times natural sea water levels of Iodate.
So, if you dose Iodine, there is an known potential for overdosing that will cause problems and as of yet there is no known benefit that outweighs the risk. It's your tank but why bother? There is plenty of Iodine available in food and water changes, probably too much. Adding more just seems like an unnecessary risk that has proven to be the downfall of many tanks but the benefit of none**.
For me, if I'm going to take a risk I expect some benefit that will outweigh the risk.
**Excluding some very specialized setups such as raising crustacean larvae, deep sea gorgonia, or phytoplankton where Iodine is not available in food.

Zenia sometimes just stop pulsing. If everything else looks good and tests are good I would not add anything new.

The product claims to be rediculously useful :) Since I have never seen an ingredient list I would have no way of knowing if it's OK to use. It could be apple juice for all I know. I wouldn't recommend it but I can't say it's not great either. It's a a typical Marc Weiss mystery product.
