It means Xenia only need a few watts per gallon. If you give them more light they do better. If you put them under MH they can actually become a pest.

yep...a WEED of the tank... but their cool to watch and can sometimes be a good indicater of bad water conditions

IME, mushrooms are a good starter coral. Or maybe some yellow polyps or something similar.

shrooms are the size of a quarter.(only one).
The coral frags are from 3 1/2 to 4 inches tall,
some have a branch or too on them,
That is the only way I know to tell ya with out a
picture .
They do have a very small rock with only 4 yellow
polyps on it and they don't look to happy to me.
It could be there lighting though.
I don't know to much about frags.
I just don't want to crash my tank and be upset!

5 bucks is a great price! Snatch them up. But be careful, the rumour is true they spread like wildfire under the right conditions!!

well I did it!
I got a yellow polyps,they are open.
(only 4 on the rock though)
I got a green umbrella ????(shroom)
I don't know any thing about it????
And got a small frag of colt coral.
Now is can they make it??
I have them in a qt tank , with the Bar goby!
How long shall I need to leave the corals???
I will have a 85 gal. for christmas,I don't want to wait that
long.HOW LONG?????And what to I feed them???
too keep them in the best condition,while in qt??

I've never quaranteened corals so I have no idea how long to keep them there. I've never even considered quaranteening them.
The colt just needs light. It'll pick food out of the water column.
The Yellow Polyps need to be fed occationally. Something small, meaty and of marine origin.

I know nothing about dipping,Or where to start!
So that is why I have them in the qt tank.
Along with the Goby.I don't ever want to lose
a tank like I did before.
