My xzena seems to still be alive...just don't look as full as they used to/pulseate anymore...Know why?..I have good flow, PC, and the nitrates aren't high(at least I am pretty sure).... Is there anything I can add help them open back up?

When you sa PC are you talking a lot or just standard PC. When is the last time you did a water change? Where are the located in the tank?I would test water- unfortuneatly guessing water peramaters wont cut it. But were are here to help so get back to these questions and we can work from there.

I have read that xenia will stop pulsing in an aquarium. One of the reasons is the flow of water around them.
Not sure but I think the reason they pulse was to keep the water around it moving so it doesn't become stale.

As Eric Boherman writes in his book "Aquarium Corals", Xenia may stop pulsing without any reason. The reason is not discovered yet. But try to move the stalk to different location. If it's in the high water flow, then move it to the location with less flow, or wise versa. This may help.

From my experience when they stop pulsing it's time for a water change. That's what always gets ours going again.
