Guess what? I got an interesting phone call last night from a United States Postal Inspector. They flagged at least one of the sand packages as suspicious because of it's weight and because it was wet. I had to tell them exactly what it was, why I it was coming to me through the mail, how I know you, whether the sand came from the beach, etc, etc. Eventually, they let it come through.

OMG...I never heard of that...I told them it was sand when I gave it to them...I don't think boxes were wet when I sent it...Man, guess I will stop shipping it...What town did they call from? Sorry that happened...Thanks :D

I don't know what town it came from, but it was from the state of South Carolina. I personally wouldn't worry about it unless some of it blows up somewhere. It wasn't too bad. Actually, once it was over, it was rather funny! :hilarious
Thanks!
Glen

Wonder why it was wet...I have 4 other boxes here that were packaged at the same time and they are not wet...Hmmm...I told the guy what it was when I gave it to him to be shipped....He should have noted that...Man that makes me mad...Guess I will use someone else for shipping from now on...Thanks for the reply...

strange. I've shipped probably 300 priority mail shipments of sand from SC without issue. And received about another 200.
then again - I've never been asked what's in the package...

Hi, yes I will ship it to you...I have some packaged now...It is split up into 20 lbs per flat rate box...So if you want two bags it would be $5.00 x 2 and shipping would be $7.70 x 4....This is the cheapest way I found to ship this....So the total would be $40.80 for two whole bags shipped to your door...Just let me know...Thanks

Thanks! Yes, my sand got here. One came in the box and was just fine, but the other was no longer in the box. It was a Yardright bag inside a postal bag. I guess, somehow, the box got wet and got torn up during shipping and they had to put it in something else. I got it, though. I appreciate it! I have already used a bit of it.

Nick, I have some left...They are 40lb bags...What we have been doing is splitting the bags into 20lb bags so they will fit in flat rate boxes, but I will be glad to ship them any way you like...If we do it this way it would be $40.80...Let me know what you think...Thanks Rick

Thanks for the reply. So it would cost me $40.80 for how much shipped to my location? 40 lbs or 80? Thanks and I look forward to dealing with you.
