well i have a 55gal undrilled tank, and for xmas i asked for a 75 reef ready well i didnt get it but today i went to the lfs with my mom and i was looking at corals and she said so is this the tank you wanted i said yes and she said ok lets get it WAIT what did you just say? so i got a 75 reef ready and a 20 long for a sump!!! ill have pixs up soon.

ok im thinking of doing 2 metal halide retrofit with actinics or 4 retrofit VHOs 2 actinics 2 daylight whitch would be better for keeping clams, LPS, and sofites?

defin. halide. for your clams , you could have softies and a few lps under the vho lights , why not consider going T5 , then you could keep clams ( higher in the tank ) softies, lps, and some sps. without the halide heat.

If it were my tank....MH all the way. Use VHO's for actinics.

ya but if i do MH then i need a chiller for the summer

No chillers on any of mine.
15 with 1-150 HQI ....1-8" fan blowing across top
75 with 2-250 single end reeflux 12k...4-fans in back of hood..open top
90 with 2-250 HQI + 4-54w T5....1-10" fan blowing across top
120 with 2-250 single end aquaconnect 12k...4-fans in back of hood..open top
If I could afford chillers for all of them, I would probably have them...as backup.

Just make sure you can ventilate it pretty good.

almost all open on the back holes with fans on the sides and a few fans on the back should do it right?

Should do it? i know you'd be set, i have 2 175 watt MH and only one 5 inch fan on the custom top blowing across and it stays a regular 80 degrees, i also have a under-powered heater because a majority of my heat is created by my lighting and pumps

well heres the fuge, i had a hard time with the silicone bcus the glass was not long enuf but im gonna do another layer of silicone tomorrow
