wow mom! i got 3 red planets and idk why but they lost a little green :/ i hate it but its fine. but now i am jealous! look at you stocking up with sps!!!!

mine did as well. Now they're more red w/ purple polyps, well, what's left of them...
i wish i new, it kinda sucks. but so far the red remains. i guess the only way they will remain with the colors is with MH. maybe the t5 they dont like :/

Mine are under halides. I've tried 150watt and 250 watt. They've been under different Kelvin rated bulbs, different brands, etc. I didn't loose the red either, but the polyps turned more of a dark red/maroon/purple color. I still think it's a beautiful coral.

so what happens to maroon colored corals going from actinic to MH?
it's not actinic to MH, its MH to T5 and LED that seems to be an issue with some SPS. For whatever reason, people claim color loss, but still have a healthy, growing coral.
This is what my red planet is doing: It's still growing, but the colors all changed:

Under the moolight the polyps get more the green back, but during the day, it's just a two-toned red coral.

same for me. when i first got it from the wholesalers, the green was amazing! the colors pop like wow. the t5 were doing a great job but now the more i look at it the more the green is there but its like a darker green and my red planet looks the same as yours. lol
