Meowzer, Just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to put the copperband butterfly on my list of possible fish for my 55 gal tank. Lol I understand why it takes you so long to make a decision on what fish you want for your tank. I so can not wait to see pics of your new stuff you are getting. So make sure when you get it that we get PICS PICS PICS!!! lol

One important thing to remember.....a Copperband needs an established tank.... (from what I have read)

Meowzer....isn't your 54 a reef? Please let us know if it picks on anything. I've been debating about putting one in my reef but have read they can eat coral.

Yes it is...that was part of my difficulty making the decision, BUT everyone tells me they have not had any issues

I purposely purchased a smaller one, so I can hopefully train it to eat the frozen foods ...not my polyps
If I start to see any nipping, I will deal with it I guess....I am hoping that if I keep it well fed, it will not want the polyps...
Let's just hope I WIN this experiment lol

Yes you will have to let us all know how the Copperband does in your tank, and if it bothers anything. That why I will know if it would be ok in my 55 when it is mature... :)

LOL No not live stock. I wish I was ready for live stock. My tank is not even up and running yet. But soon I will have it up and everyone here will get to see my build. I sit here sometimes wishing that I had went with a 75 or 90 gal tank instead of the 55 gal, but I figure that in about a year to 18 months that I will upgrade to the 75 or 90 gal. I am thinking that because there are so many fish that I would like to have that need 75 gal or larger. Don't get me wrong there are many beautiful fish that I can put in the 55 but I would love to have one Tang and one Large Angel also. So I will get my 55 up and running then start saving a little money here and there for the upgrade. LOl Must be addicted if I don't even have my first tank up and running, but already planning the up grade.

I am definitely wanting to hear how it goes. I was about a second away from picking up the one that's been at my lfs. He is an awesome guy, housed with several tangs and appears to be "cleaning" them, which the tangs were practically waiting in line for. Not sure if that is normal but this one is at it each time.
I just worry about the sand issue. I traded my diamond goby because he was always managing to bury anything on my sand bed and even shooting sand onto the rocks burying coral there as well.

I think the only thing these things bury is themselves...LOL...and Idid readthat they SOMETIMES will clean fish too
I have a blue cleaner wrasse...it tries all the time to clean the fish...they just are not interested...I will get my pics tomorrow night, and as soon as the site come up...hopefully I will have them on it
that is as long as it doesn;t hide in a hole....LOL
