yellow water in fish tank

I have a 100 gallon fish only tank with live rock. The tank is about 1 year old. Recently i have noticed that the water is very yellow. I first thought that i needed new lighting, so i changed the bulbs, but no change. Please Help!

Run some fresh carbon . How often are you doing water changes and how much do you do at a time?

Welcome!
As stated before, force your tank water through some new throughly rinsed granular carbon for 48 hours and the yellow will be gone.

I have added carbon and it seems to work but it still returns. I do a 20% water change once a month.

How's the algae in this tank? Can you post all tank parameters ?
