Yippeeeee!!!!!!

After two months my Clown has finally hosted my Hairy Mushroom!!!!!! It is the cuttest thing watching him snuggle up in his new host. I had nearly given up hope that it would ever happen. Ahhhhhhh so happy!
Just had to share, I'll try to get a pic,

This isn't irritating for the mushrooms? Just curious, obviously it's not though. I never heard of that before, and I always like new info. :D

The Mushroom doesn't seem to mind at all. I didn't get a chance to take a picture last night. This is a picture of Bang Guys's Clown/Mushroom pair, hope you don't mind Guy :)

Jeez, guy, those are wonderful looking clowns, mine wasn't like that, it was a false perc though not a black one, but it was kinda dull.

FWIW
Hairy mushrooms (Rhodactis sp) are part of a larger group of Corallimorpharia or coral anemones. I think that the mushroom actually benifits from the extra food brought to it by the clown. While I have never seen (doesn't mean anything :) ) a colony of the smoother mushrooms hosting a clownfish I have seen many of the hairy or frilly mushrooms (especially the larger ones) host several clowns at once.

That is awesome!!! Hopefully when i conquer my little cyano bloom i'll gets some more corals in my tank. I wanna try an experiment to see if my Maroon Clown will take to a Hairy Mushroom Coral. Is hairy mushroom coral the most common for a clown to take host to. I've heard of them hosting others, but seems to me like they like the hairys the best.

Hey brinkbrum, Hairy Mushrooms are not the most common hosts for Clowns but should take to one if nothing else is offered. I did not want to go the Anemone route (too hard to care for) so I picked a Hairy Shroom because they are VERY hardy. It did take over 2 months for my Clown to host the Shroom, but now that he has he only leaves it to eat :)
BangGuy is a good person to ask Clown/Hairy Shroom questions, he is the one that got me going on the combo.
Thanks,

Melissa, I just love seeing that pic:D Never seen anything like it. It's a tomato right. Here's my tomato in the bta. It has such an orange color, more like a perc.

Sheree, what kind of fish is that???? Very cool looking.
I was asked what kind of clown I have, it's a tank bred Occelaris.
Last night after the lights went off in the tank I was looking all over for the clown and could not find him anywhere. Then I saw the tip of his tail fin poking out from under the Mushroom. I guess he is now sleeping under it. Too cute.
I LOVE this hobby.
