You remind me. Once I was out playing in the snow, no gloves. When I went in I thought I would warm up my hands with water. Of course me being the genius that I am I thought HOT water would be best......

Reading the temp in Tulsa right now....12 degrees but feels like -4! Wind gusts from 15mph to 29mph. Tomorrow's temp all of 12 degrees and dropping off to 4 degrees overnight. Schools here cancelled due to cold temps. Woo hoo! Heat wave Sunday! All of 26 degrees! Break out the swim suits!

Dang...Wish you guys would send that snow on over here. We are expecting some tonight, but I have not seen the first flake fall yet. Funny thing...they have already delayed school tomorrow morning for 2 hrs (based on the assumption
). Oh well, I get to sleep in.

I hear ya. I am soo glad that we got the noise ebadement work done to our house. We had a heater last year that kept going out because there was moisture leaking in somewhere and shorting out the circuit board.
And at 143.00 a board it was getting expensive. Replaced it 3 times last winter! The bills were outrageous too.
I am sitting comfortably in my home this winter and the new heater is definitely keeping this house cozy.
The bill has also gone down by over 50%.

-52 that brings back a few memories of my OTR days. Ever seen a -80 windchill. Heck one day the High in 1996 the HIGH FOR THE DAY in Beach North Dakota was -40 and windchills were running at -80. We had FUN THAT DAY KEEPING THE TRUCKS RUNNING. Hell I was in my Sleeping bag under the Mattress and we had the grill stuffed with Fed Ex Envolpes and we could only get the water temp up to 140. We never shut the trucks off for anything even to add oil we just dumped it in.

ohhhhhh the burn.....!!!!!!

in my defense I think I was 12 at the time. You can also say I never did that again.
You all can send the snow Dwight's way. My wife's Birthday is Tuesday and I am trying to figure out when I can take her golfing.

we can still play golf here too...we have a thing called the Chili Open...not exactly what I would call golf, but it usually gets a pretty solid turnout (I did it once and don't think that I will ever be so inclined as to do it again).
I miss the days that I used to get a week off for Spring Break when my dad, uncle, friends, and I used to take a trip to the Winston Salem area of NC to play golf for a long weekend...probably not the best way to get your golf muscles/game into shape (18 holes Thursday, 35 to 54 holes Friday, 36 to 54 holes Saturday, and 18 on the way home Sunday)...my hands would be SORE by the end of the weekend but it was always a blast! Now I only get Good Friday and the following Monday off and my wife isn't fond of me not being around for Easter, so this is a no go

Well I know that all of you are wondering if I took my wife golfing on her B-day. Well I did not take her golfing. Just did not work out so we went geocaching at Ventura harbor instead. One of the cache was right on the beach itself. Although when we were looking for the cache at the end of the pier we got so warm we had to take our jackets off. The pier is in this video Julianne Hough

LTS, well if it makes you feel any better, we did not find the cache. We spent about 20 minutes out in the sun over the ocean, smelling the salt water and hearing the waves crashing and did not walk away with the prize. If that makes you feel better.
T3, the link should work now.
BTW this is the area where they filmed the contest in the movie Little Miss Sunshine. They say it is a hotel in Redondo Beach, but it is actually a hotel in Ventura that is directly near this pier.
