Hello everyone!! So I have a twenty gall long tank and am getting ready to purchase some more gear. RO water or ro/di

so far no corals. Just a LM Blenny, Green Chromis and cuc (pep shrimp, snails, hermits). I think I will wait on the ro/di unit as my lfs is saying they would be glad to test my ro water and im limited on funds. as far as the protein skimmer, Im leaning toward a tunze 9002 in tank unit since my...

So I started buying ro/di water from the lfs and obviously this water is amazing. my two fish and cuc are happier than ever and my algae has thinned...

sump/refugium with protien skimmer OR hob with skimmer

thanks a lot thats a lot of info to check out. I really dont want to drill the tank so an overflow box is the only idea i can think of. Is there a kit that goes from an overflow to a DIY sump/refugium?

sump/refugium with protien skimmer OR hob with skimmer

yeah thats what I relly want to do. Its just the all in one units are cheap and less work. I figure if I build my own it will look a lot better and be WAY more stable as I can hold more water. Do you have any ideas on a good overflow system that wont break my wallet "too" badly?

sump/refugium with protien skimmer OR hob with skimmer

Ok so I have a 20gal lng tank and also have a 15 gallonsmaller glass tank. I am wondering if it would be better to use my smaller tank and building a refugium/sump in it with an overfow box or if maybe I should just get an all in one skimmer/refugium that HOB. What do you think?

    algae issues

ok so I either am stare waaayy too long at my tank or im amazed (or both) but it seems like my red algae is retreating. I turned the lights on 4 hours on / 20 off and flipped my LR over so the growth would be on the underside. Also did %25 WC with RO/DI H2O. Next I will get some macro (maybe...
