My LFS just got in a Diplobatis ommata (bullseye sharkray) and it turns out it was pregnant! So, the mom had 8 babies and I just had to get one. How often are you gonna come across that? So, they were eating brine and mysis in the store. I have not seen mine eat in the tank yet, but I have only...

I know what you are going to say... BUT it was already eating at the store. It munches down on frozen brine shrimp. It looks great. Not skinny, beautiful color. Anemone Is starving!

My flower anemone has been refusing to eat krill or anything solid for a couple months now. The only thing it will take is phytoplex when I spray it right onto it. Any idea how to get it eating again? Also, my long tentacle has moved behind some rock structure and I cannot get to it to feed it...

    HELP! Wrasse is sick

A couple of days ago my Cortez wrasse stopped swimming (which is very strange because it never stops when it is awake) and has been laying under some cover breathing very quickly. I saw it come out and swim for maybe 15 seconds today. It has no exterior signs of illness, although, another fish...

    juvenile wrasse color change?

I recently bought a Paddlefin Wrasse (Thalassoma lucasanum) that is still in its juvenile color phase. I was under the impression that these wrasses always changed into the colors of the thick vertical stripes of green-yellow-pink as they got older. With more research I found out that those are...

    HELP! Eel attacking Eel

From the reading I have done and people I have asked, I thought that mixing the smaller Morays would be fine. A guy was breaking down his tank and had a snowflake he was just giving away. So I take it a put it into my tank. Bad Idea. My snowflake, which is probably 4 or 5 times bigger, was...

Shame face crab: yes or no?

Was at the LFS yesterday and saw they had a very interesting crab in a tank all by itself. With a little research i found it to be a Shame Face Crab (Calappa granulata). I like oddballs like this but am concerned about its descructive reputation. The guy at the store said it was demolishing...

    Protein Skimmer Problem

I recently got an Aquariums Systems protein skimmer from a friend. Initially, it was foaming a lot and I was getting a bunch of the brown-protein stuff but they have considerably decreased.
