Hey guys, I found what I believe to be a 180 gal, non drilled tank for a great price. It only comes with the tank.
I am planning on drilling it, making a stand and canopy, light, possibly making a skimmer and fuge, and I am looking into making my own rock. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the glass-holes.com overflow kits?
I like the look of the big center overflows, and even the corner boxes. Does anyone have any sources on some of them, or am I limited due to the fact that the tank was not pre-drilled.
I plan of keeping a mixed reef, what kind of pump and flow rate do I need for a mixed reef.
I have been having success with my DIY LED so far. So I think I will just build a bigger one for this tank
I've seen sone plans for DIY skimmers, and have also found some pretty good deals on E-bay. Anyone have a preffered brand? What type (venturi, or other kinds) should I get?
What size sump do I need to run? Space is not an issue, I have a full basement.
I do have a spare 55 gal. Will this work, or do I need to go bigger?
How long will I have to wait to transfer my lovestock over? Of course I know I have to wait for the rock to cure, and to get a full cycle.
Any other suggestions? Thanks.
