LOL. It's mine. But I knew I didn't name it that. You'd be surprised where my pics show up... and who claims to own them sometimes.

Very close in detail to the newest pics, except mine are not "fuzzy" like that, and have no additional 'thingies' (sorry) that look like antenns.(again, sorry).
I appreciate all the help however. The input you guys are providing is very heplpful.

Well, they lifted it off a forum I'm sure. I post my pics to help.... as long as no one claims it to be theirs or are using it to make money, then I really don't care.
But I personally always ask permission and give credit.
And they are full of poopy in that guide. That's my asterina and that was in my zoa tank. Never touched a thing. I may go in and say that... LOL.

There..... I corrected them. Now I'll probably be banned because the admin made that post. I was respectful.... but we'll see.

I have a ton of asterina stars, and I just throw them in my fuge. I just think they're kind of eyesores when they're on the glass, but the reason you're dont have the little "thingies" is probably because you can't see them. That's an extreemly focused in micropicture, right Cran? Like looking at it under a microscope, but the camera does it. You cant' see those with the

[hr]
eye can you?

Lemme go find some normal size pics. Yes, these were probably taken with a macro lens. I didn't even know they were fuzzy or ant the "thingies" until I took that pic.

I have no ability to provide a picture.

These are hydroid pics. And they are smaller than a grain of sand... Is this what you have?...

I'm new here so hopefully I'm doing this right.....I have tiny "star" shaped (kind of)....usually 5 "legs" but MUCH thicker than your picture shown above, and sometimes there are 7, sometimes more. Here's a pic....any idea what this is? I've also attached another little dude that's on my glass that there are several of these. It doesn't look hard like the white star thing, it's looks spongy and soft like my hammerhead or some of the other tips of these bubble coral thingies that wave where the water flows....I wish I knew the names of them but I'm sure you pros know exactly what I'm talking about. It looks like a piece of one of these very soft waving bubbly looking things broke off and attached to the glass??? Is that what they do? Thanks for anyone's help!

Thank you so much for replying...I knew someone would know it....soooo, are they bad? Good? They don't seem to do much harm and frankly, the way I see it, pretty much anything that's alive save for suffocating algae, are usually good. I've had them before and nothing seems to harmful about them?

Again, thanks for replying....I don't know very much about salt tanks.

The type of Asterina, as far as I can see in the picture, isn't normally one that eats corals. I would watch it though to ensure it does not damage any coral.

The Flatworm is a coin toss. The danger with that type of Flatworm is that they could be photosynthetic. If that is the case they could multiply out of control.

I have softies, LPS, and SPS corals. as well as plenty of asterinas. They have never bothered any of my corals. I occasionally see one or two on some of the corals, but have never detected any damage. They tend to scour the rocks and glass in search of their favorite food... algae. They can reach epidemic proportions at times, and they multiply by division. You'll start seeing them with as little 1 leg (triangular) to as many as 5-6 legs. If there get to be too many, I'll pick out about 50 or so...

I have a pair of six line wrasses, so I've never seen any flatworms in my tank... ;)
