hi, I'm new to this hobby and I don't have any fish yet, but I have some supplies. I'm going for a vacation and I will buy some dry rocks... I used to think I can just put it in... But I guess not, I have to cure it, here are my questions about curing prosess:
1. Do I need a specific salinity for curing the dry rock?
2. Do I pick the dead organic things out, scrub it, put in a tub with salt water, heater and power head?
3. Can I put bacteria liquid things to help it cure?
4. Do I leave the lit on?
5.what temperature am I looking for?
6. What power head should I get?(what power? 500? 100?)for a 20 gallon
7. What power do I need for curing the rock?(500?)
8. Do I wash the rock with viniger?
9. Is the rock good when ammonia and phosphates is 0?
10. Do I need to cycle the tank once the rock is done and in the tank?
Thx
