My sun corals are pigs, I Have a huge colony of them. I feed them all sorts of meaty stuff from mysis, mysid, squid, etc. I use a turkey baster to spot feed mines, they open up once they sence food.

What clean up crew do you have? A couple of Turbos and Margarita snail should solve your problem. I heard that Lawnmover blennies love hair algea. Otherwise keep up the weekly water change, don't over feed.

I suggest returning that coral to your LFS. It's one of those corals that are doomed in captivity and best left in the sea. Read more about it.

your calcium should be around the 400s range. Calcium - add some "Epsom" salt from your grocery salt...yeah the ones that you use on tired feet. Drop atleast a teaspoon ones a week.
