yes it is posible to have too much flow in a tank...you dont want a hurricane or anything but a significant amount of flow is good...i believe its 10 to 15 gph of flow per gallon of tank size(hopefully i didnt confuse you there, i almost confused myself typing it!!) once you get into adding...

what is a buffer, the one urchin is losing his spines pretty bad and i would like to help it my ph is a bit low, about 7.7-7.9 or so...not quite 8 anyway....so i would like to know what that buffer is and if it helps the ph level please and thank you for the help very much!!!
