The tank starting to get a pretty bad outbreak on the rocks. Is there anything that will eat it? If anything in my tank now eats it normally, i'd say they aren't doing a very good job. I'd really like something to get rid of it. Of course i know they don't always do they job you intend them...

since people don't go back and look at previous posts, i will continue to comment on this because i hated what happened. they were my fav. thing in my tank! i ordered them from saltwaterfish.com of course. i REALLY wish (and sharks can comment if they'd like) that they would put a big warning...

just wanted to say again..i've had no problems. i have a fire goby which was in there before the hawkfish. i also have 2 peppermint shrimp and a coral banded....again, have had no problems. there's no guarantee but it's worth a shot. they're really cool. i was very hesitant to get mine...

i've had one for a couple weeks now. The only other 2 fish i have is a fire fish and a 6-lined wrasse. my long nose hawkfish hasn't bothered anything and is really cool to watch. when i feed them it almost takes the food out of my hand. i'd say they're a really cool addition....but ya know...

the water is too warm in a tank for these guys. they will slowly die. it's a shame the lfs didn't warn you about it. a GOOD lfs won't stock them at all.

i agree with wamp also. even if the clarifier does work, it's no fun to watch. get you some little cleaners...they definitely work and they're fun to watch. i use a little of that stuff when i do water changes to keep all the floaties out of the water..or at least to control it a little.

i guess all of these have different personalities. my sally lightfoot is wonderful. it's never bothered anything at all. just keeps to itself and eats and jumps around the tank.
