my emerald crab is suddenly my chocolate chip starfish's best friend. If the starfish is on the glass the crab is hanging from him, if he is on the sand the crab is on his back. My starfish is very active he is constantly moving and the crab is everywhere he goes. Is this normal? One won't hurt...

My tank has only been running for 2 months and I don't have a protein skimmer. Well I'll cross that off my list for now. Thanks for the info. I'll continue reading up on them as I'm sure I will want to add one once my tank is ready to house one.

I saw some really beautiful purple anemone today. I was told by one person that I need a protein skimmer in order to have one, then told by another person that consistent regular water changes was enough. I'm confused! Do I need it or not? Also will it kill my eel, starfish, or damsels?
