if this is a 55 g... get rid of the purple tang and the angel... the tank is way too small for the emperor, and the tang will outgrow the tank. how long has it been setup? as far as the algae on the glass... im pretty sure everyone gets that. get an algae scraper such as a mag float. im a newbie...

LOL A FIVE GALLON? try catchin em in a 45g with 40+ lbs of live rock. i had two damsels i wanted to remove... i had to take out all the rock to get them out. i was soo frustrated when i caught em that i was about to flush em... LOL jk they got me 5 dollars towards my clownfish. i did threaten...

i have an emerald crab.... but he doesnt do jack crap lol... lazy just like me. i plan on getting atleast 3 more and 20 astrea snails. i just have to wait for my bak pak 2 to get here =)

i got a hitch hiker. when i was at the lfs looking at lr... i found a piece with a coral on it. it was like 1 cm and i couldnt even tell it was a coral. well it grew into a beautiful green mushroom(atleast i think) but anyways... i have a question. how do they multiply? do they split or what?

currently i have 0 astrea snails... i have some mexican turbo snails. what is the difference? besides the size and appearence. do they do the same thing? and will astrea snails eat hair algae? thanks!

is it necessary to have Compact Fluorescent and Actinic lightning for the organisms in/on live rock and live sand to live? the tank would not have corals.

about the tubing... if you dont want to change it, if you are going to have corals in your tank you could maybe hide the tubing by putting say an anemone in front of it. i dont know exactly how much it would cover, but there are other corals that u could probobly hide it with. ide say best thing...
