    Could someone Identify this?

Tucson AZ. Long way from the northeast it sounds. Let it get established real well and if you would like to send some we'll talk. Thanks, Moby

    Could someone Identify this?

so should I get rid of it? JMO, heck no! I think this is very pretty. If it were me I would just keep a close eye on it and if it starts to get out of hand, vacuum it up. Since the consistency is so soft it should be easy to get rid of if needed. Moby

Percula clown hosting Sebae Anemone!!! pics

Very nice looking tank. The only question I have is why has the anemone gotten so dark since we got him (see pics). He was just under florescent bulbs at the LFS and we have him under MH anyone know? He has gotten bigger in size and darker in color since then too . This is because at the LFS he...

mushrooms shrinking away... why why why

I've had my 55 gal tank set up for quite a while with no problems Hi hawkster1, I'll help with what I can. But first some basic questions. How long is awhile? What are your water parameters? Real numbers (not the common everything is good answer) Do you use RO/DI for your salt mix and top off...

    Macro Algae problem

If you have a refugium, you could put the macro in the refugium with the lights on 24/7 and eventually the macro in the fuge will take all the nitrates from the water starving the macro in the display. Trainfever is right, this would really be the best solution. Besides you get all the benefit...

    stinky rocks

Hard to say what the outcome will be honestly. The chances of that rock still being any good is fair. But this of course depends on how and what duration it was stored. I would monitor the water very closely. A lot of times rock will have black patches on it, but I have never seen...

    Keeping eel out of overflow?

If you can post a picture of the area you want to cover, I can help you easier with a solution. It is hard for me to visualize the exact shape and way you have it set up. Moby

    Keeping eel out of overflow?

You can cut out a piece of eggcrate to fit the space and glue it in place. Lighting section at the local home depo sells it. Moby

I am SOOO close! I am SOOO lost!

what is the tube coming from the skimmer cup back down to sump? It looks like the return pipe from the main skimmer chamber not the collection cup. I think puffer32 is right, the problem sounds like you need to dial back the flow with a ball valve to reduce water volume into the main chamber. Moby

This is how you frag a rock

Very cool! Once those get established on that branch that will look so sweet. I may try this myself since I've got boat loads of fragging material. Keep us posted on their progress! Moby

I haven't been this angry in a LONG time

I'm really happy to hear everything worked out so well Aelene. BTW, I love your avatar! As far as tank maintenance goes, yes. It is tough to make some folks happy. Not a business for the faint at heart. I took care of all the holding tanks for the red lobsters in my state. Yikes, that was a lot...
