    Amount of light? Which corals?

I'm looking at some soft corals, but am not sure how'll they'll do with my lighting.. I have a 48in long tank, and the corals will be ~12inches from the surface. For lighting, I have 4 bulbs (2 dual bulbs) each that are 33in long and 96watts. One actinic, the other 10k daylight. Will this...

Strength of overflow vs Return pump

I know I asked this in the past, but I've lost my paper with all my info on it I have a 155, and have purchased a sump (40 gallons and the biggest to fit in my stand) along with a skimmer and return pump. My return pump is a mag 12, and seeing as the return has to travel up 5 ft + valves and...

    Random but important fish question..

Do fish at fish markets (when they are lieing out on ice) carry parasites/pathogens? If so, where are they usually found on the fish? In the gills? Meat? Intestines? Just curious..

    Lionfish invasion, catching methods..

I have been looking into the lionfish invasion going on in the atlantic. But I have to wonder, what do you think would be the best collection method? Right now it seems they catch them individually with specialized nets. I wonder if you could do something to catch greater numbers at once? Whats...

    Sump...sump...SUMP.

Alright, I'm working on getting myself a sump. I'd love to have someone build me one, but I'd rather love to know how to correctly build one. My tank is 155 gallons, and I believe we were trying to get a 40 gallon breeder to work from (small, I know, but better than nothing.) I already purchased...

    Shy Anthia

I purchased a male Square spot yesterday along with a maroon clown. I added them, and of course the anthia zips away into the rock to not be found. I've read that they are rather shy, so I've kept the light off, and left the tank pretty much alone, knowing they are light sensitive and all. So...

    Agressive stocking list.

I thought as much when it came to the triggers and lions xD I'll have to decide which one to keep later on.. Another random question.. What all fish on my list would try to eat a blue spiny lobster? I would love to keep one of these, if possible.

    Agressive stocking list.

I would love a lion, for I believe they are absolutely stunning.. But my question would be, would the trigger nip at it? Or would any others on my list? Also, I've heard lions could swallow almost anything..would the maroons be in danger? I'd probably end up with a volitan if I purchased one...

    Agressive stocking list.

Forgot to add, I'm also going to either add a single maroon clown, or a mated pair. I can't purchase two juvis though, for the eel would probably eat them if they were that small.. So I'll either buy a grown mated pair, or simply a large single adult..

    Agressive stocking list.

Thanks for the help! I do fancy the nigers, I shall definately look into those. Would a trugger nip at the eel though? That would be my only concern.. As for wrasses, I love the idea of them. I think I'd have to choose from a red coris, blue head, or possibly a lunare. I've heard good things...

After going through several arguments with the family, we have changed over to stocking our tank with aggressive fish. The tank is 155 gallons.. We currently have a wolf eel in it, close to a foot long.. I'm looking for any good recommendations of fish that would go with the eel/dottyback.. I...
