Just set up a 75 gal. , 200 lbs. sand, 50 lbs. l/r. left the skimmer off, no water changes, 2 weeks to cycle. IMO thats the way to cycle a new tank!!! HTH

I bought a couple pieces of l/r (lfs)to start cycling my new tank. after about a week it starting to turn black. I removed one small piece and put it in another tank, within 10 or 15 mins. it started returning to it's original colors!!! Anyone got any idea whats happening?? Thanks.

Are the sea horses eating?? Damsiels are very aggresive, they shouldn't be kept with sea horses!! They will eat all the food and nothing left for the ponies!! Sea horses need a tank for themself, the Damsieles will taunt them to death!! I know I have a Damsielle only tank, they are vicious...
