no the goby will not move enough sand to do what i did.....

I bought a new wet dry canister filter..so i wanted to stir my sand bed up a little to get some of the diatom up in the water, so it would get sucked up by the filter....i stired it up too much and killed my babies.... . my water was very cloudy for a good hour, and by the time it was back to...

well its one strong fish.....i killed off my male and female wantanabei plus my powder blue tang by stirring up my sand bed ridiculuosly too much, but the engineer goby and my yellow watchman goby were the only survivors....lesson learned....dont stir the sand bed too much

when you get them they are usually about an inch long, black and white. after they grow a little they will get the yellow...and its really a fish, not and eel. good sand stirrer too

yep engineer goby would be the best bet, but if you "need" to have and eel, garden eels are cool. they need a deep sand bed though and the deeper the better, but at least 4 inches, 6 would be better. garden eels live in the sand bed and when they go into the sand bed, they go in butt first...

ive never heard that they need to be off for 1 week a month.....is this true? what does turning the moonlights off for a week a month do? i dont think the moon gos away for a week a month in "the real world". i never really paid much attention to the moon that close i guess.

just noticed that you live in the big easy......hope you got a generator and live on a very high hill. i hear that it still not fully rebuilt from katrina . good luck this season, ill be keeping my fingers crossed for myself til november .

Look into a brand called Rado...very nice and some are in your range. Ive had mine since high school and its still kickin. Not too many people have heard of it either, everyone has a Rolex, look for something he's never heard of just a thought.
