    not sure if this helps, but i am new as well..yet have completed the cycle...it took about a month..give or take..and i added all the live rock in to kick it off..along with a cleanup crew of about 75 hermits and 50 turbos, and 3 emeralds...the cycle spiked a few times, then i added 4 blue...

    awesome..the two coming are shrooms, so ill be okay for now..later along in my tank, with more experience, ill start upgrading lights and move in a few anemones..but prob not for a year or two..ill stick to simple ones for now...thanks for your replies guys...found this mssg board really helpful...

    today i have 2 soft corals being delivered..1 green shroom and 1 green hairy...any tips on acclimation..or just the standard drip, then drop em in the tank...or can i place them on rocks without being stung?

    i have 2 55 w white and 1 blue...reading up on those 2 corals, it dosent require the normal bright light..yet im wondering what you guys give em to promote healthy growth...ive seen a few supplements..are they neccessary, or not?
