coral reefs take millions of years to grow

Yes, as stars burn their fuel they change states/temperatures/sizes, and follow a general progression, depending on size, beginning with a cloud of condensing gases (nebula) and ending in a number of outcomes (supernovas, black holes, etc). Except ours didn't start as a nebula, I guess. That's...

coral reefs take millions of years to grow

Very glad to hear of your superior english classes. Did you not take them? You got us with that "explanding stars in the band of oryan" bit. Totally. I guess I have to go to church again, and I'll definitely check out where it say that in the bible. You have now told us to look at other...

10 watts per gallon lighting questions

Couldn't help but notice that marsciguy... ahem sorry... Couldn't Help But Notice That MarSciGuy Listed More Than 2 Greatest Enemies :) You'll be fine if you're putting the lights 14" off the water and have fans on them. Might lose water fast though. For reference, I've got a measly 75 with 11...

    Hitchhiker ID?

Have what I believe to be a coral (but what do I know?) that hitchhiked in on some live rock about a year ago. It hasn't grown much since then. The smallest polyp on the lower right is open, the next one to the left is opening, and the other two summarize how it looks most of the time: little...

coral reefs take millions of years to grow

Did you mean Pensacola Junior College? It's accredited. You've done nothing to inform us of the movements of the stars, the moon's rotation, wave patterns, and geographical movements. Please inform us ("us" being the uninformed, publicly-schooled, numb-minded majority you've now insulted) of...

Then please, inform us of the movements of the stars, the moon's rotation, wave patterns, and geographical movements, and please inform us, the uninformed, publicly-schooled, numb-minded majority of how they relate to creationism.

    fish bite!

I had an orange toadfish that would come up from under rockwork and not only bite but latch on to my fingers. I don't see many of them for sale and rarely, if ever come across people keeping them but they've got HUGE mouths and appetites equally as big. It was about 8" long and had a mouth...

    Sun coral revival

Was in the LFS the other day and walked out with both a declining sun coral and an aptasia-riddled galaxea colony for $10. Had seen them there for a long time, had noticed that they hadn't been looking so hot for a long time, and made an offer. The galaxea is already looking good, and my...

    Xenia outbreak - need suggestions

If I had the problem you do, I'd remove the rocks one at a time, cut as much of the xenia off the rock with a razor then blow boiling water at the remaining chunks with a syringe. I've had good luck with aptasia this way, anyway. If you could though, I'd definitely try selling it off.
