just purchased a fiji puffer, can any one tell me anything about this fish?

you wouldnt suggest to try and just spike the ammonia with ammonia chloride would you?

i had already posted a thread about this topic but im a little confused. my tank has been cyclling for 5 weeks with the ammonia level reaching a high of .25. do i need the ammonia level to spike to begin the cycle or does it matter if it does not?

my fish have been in there for three weeks.

how long would i have to wait for the tank to mature?

thanks for all the input at this point i still need the ammonia to spike before i do anything right? because it barely went up in 5 weeks.

the ammonia has been at .25 for about 3 weeks and i test every day and aloso put food in there everyday as well.

i have about 15 of live rock and 50 lbs of uncured. i have 2 chromis. i using a wet dry filter system as well in a 72 gallon. i just figured at this point the ammonia would have went up more thatn it has. algae has accumulated all over the tank as well.

so what would you suggest my nest step should be.
