Sorry..I wrote on the "disease" thread w/ all of the info. regarding water parameters. My little guy is still eating/acting normally with all of the others. He looks fine , but this mouth thing is weird. Any ideas?

My tang has "inflated" lips...I just looked at him and he looks like he has teeth!!!!! I thought his lips were just irritated, but I wonder if it is something else? Water...everything is within range w/ no fluctuation...5.0 trates (normal for our tank) yadda, yadda, yadda.......

I just looked at him again...close up...the "white" looks like teeth in his mouth!

I know..I thought the same, but they look SO different than usual...my hubby says it is just irritation...thanks for replying

Let me clarify.....yes, he already had white lips, but they are now puffy!

Kole Tang w/ white lips temp 80 alk 3.26 am 0 trite 0 trate 5.0 (normal for our tank) He is eating well, acting normal and the other fish are normal. Any ideas? He is my" little guy" aka...Capt Neil! Want him happy! :notsure:

I meant that it seems like many don't like the kole tang for whatever reason

We have had 2 false percs and a pink tipped anemone for about 3 months and just a few days ago, they decided to host! (tank raised, btw)

That is good to hear. I have read on here so many people asking for suggestions for stocking and they say.....anything but a Kole!

We have a Kole Tang in a 55 gal. He is a VERY active swimmer and would thrash. So, we blacked out the sides of the tank, put in a grounding probe and purchased 2 cleaner shrimp which he visits frequently. There is no more thrashing or agitation. Cutest thing with some personality.

you get stray voltage through the tank via all of the electronic equip. working there! I forgot to mention that our tang has "scrapes" on him from the bumping.....also...we blacked out the sides of the tank so the reflection was lessened. Trust me, we are learning a TON right now ourselves. We...

I may be way off base here.....our kole tang was bumping the glass and we found that there was some voltage in the tank. Our clowns weren't bumping...go figure :notsure:
