I recently cut the Xenia because it was stretching between two rocks. I was a little scared to do it, but it worked out ok. You can kind of see the other piece; it's the bright white spot right below it to the right. The small piece is already beginning to form new little arms.

Anybody know of a hardy soft coral that will grow medium height that won't kill Xenias if too close? I need something to fill a hole that's next to my Xenia.

I just got a cleaner shrimp yesterday, and he's great. He already eats out of my hand, and he's attempted to clean my fish.

    Whoa!

So is that just another way they spread - falling off the rock? I don't know how I haven't noticed them before. I'm going to try to move them now. Thanks

    Whoa!

I bought some zoos about a month ago and stuck them on my rocks. Today, I just noticed four polyps that are growing in the back of my tank in the sand. I have no idea how they got down there. I don't even see how they have enough light. Should I try to move them? It looks like they're just...

    It's Alive!

I had some red sea and silver xenia shipped to me a couple of weeks ago. The silver made it ok, but the red sea was pretty much obliterated by the time it got to me. I put the bare rock in my tank anyway, and two weeks later, I have ten little pink hands growing from the rock! My silver...

    Tank Pics

Yeah, I know my pictures are bad. I've never had problems with the camera until I tried taking aquarium pictures. I'm actually waiting for digital SLR prices to come down, since I'm really into film cameras.

    Tank Pics

My tank is now almost four months old, and I could no longer resist the urge to buy coral. Here's a bad full-tank shot. You can't really tell what anything is.

    Random Question

Is it possible for a coral such as one from the Xenia family to grow from only the base part, or do the arms have to be present?

    I.D., please, please

I've never seen it excrete anything. I've just seen something white inside that retracts when I get close. There's actually two of them (They're on a snail shell). Sorry about the bad picture.

Anybody know what the red tube is? I've noticed it's grown alot since I first found it. It looks like there is something in the tube. The blue circle is a tiny feather duster. (Anybody know how big they get?)

Waterfaller, I hate to ask, but would you be willing to ship some if I paid postage? It shouldn't be too much to send from florida to alabama.
