Super fast cycle in my 12gal ???

I’m not sure, but I think my new 12gal tank cycled really fast. :notsure: Here is where I’m at. Last Sunday (6-5-2005) I set up a new 12gal nano. I added 1.5-2 inch of aragonite sand, 10 lb cured LR and topped off with 1.024 salt water (Instant Ocean). One piece of LR came from my...

    Stray Voltage?

I can support this theory 100%. My yellow tang had developed HLLE really bad, thought we were going to lose him. I tried everything for months, water changes, improved diet everything that was recommended. So as a last resort, I tested my tank with a multi-meter and found 7 volts in thetank...

3.7 volts enough to do harm?

Might depend on your fish, but I had around 7 volts in my tank. It made my Tang get HLLE and it nearly killed him. After I out the ground probe in the tank, the tank started to get better almost right away..

First Porcupine Puffer: Living On The Edge!!!

Could be one of two possibilities, Damsels are known to be very territorial, and aggressive to new fish, so your damsels could be stressing out your puffer. I know I had 2 damsels terrorize my yellow tang. Second, you mentioned that he will not eat, what are you feeding him. According to...

How do you check if there is electricity in water?

Toss a light bulb in the tank and see if it lights up HE HE HE :hilarious But seriously, what you need in either a Multi-Meter (Which measures volts, amps and ohms) or just a regular voltmeter. Your don’t need an ohms meter, because you don’t want to know the resistance in the tank, or the...
