My cycles done in a week.

aggies50, I understand all that you said except for the Nitrate part. I tought thast the only way to get rid of NO3 was to either have a fuge(or some other type of plant life) or do water changes. What in your tank will remove Nitrate naturally???? :notsure: :notsure:

    Will low calcium effect pH?

no on the skimmer, why? I’m guessing the cyclone of foam would help aerate the water??

    Will low calcium effect pH?

Thanks for your replies ophiura, I was thinking too that it might be poor circulation... I figured that I have 600 GPH between my filter and PH ( 330 & 270 respectively). This would give be about 13x flow for my 46gal FOWLR. (But I really shouldnt say FOWLR cause I just bought a small frag of...

Super fast cycle in my 12gal ???

The purpose of this tank is to house Damsels, since many people use damsels to cycle a tank, do you think I could go ahead and put the first damsel in there?? Or should I keep feeding the cycle and keep looking for the ammonia/nitrite spikes?

    Good group/school fish

Some of the Cardinals like the Orbicular or the Pajama like to be in groups. I don’t have one myself, but my LFS has a tank full and they always seem to “hover” in formation. Kind of reminds me of a squadron of jet fighters, Its pretty cool! :happyfish

    Will low calcium effect pH?

Currently my calcium is around 320. Its FOWLR (except one small piece of Xenia) I can’t seem to get my pH to stay at 8.3. Its 8.0 right now. . I’m using RO water with Instant Ocean salt mix If its not calcium, what else can I do to raise pH? I have tryed 8.3 pH Buffer bySeaChem, and it works...
