can you get a better pic? Looks like black algea, get a UV steralizer or a purple tang or red sea sailfin. Or use Boyd Chema-clean.

Thanks for the info! I am supposed to talk to the head tech at solaris tommorow so I will grill them on it definitly not making the $$$ commit w/o being 100% sure on it. Thanks for the advice. I'll update tommorow.

I have been told they are not required for a healthy reef but they will kill black algea that is hard to control without certain species of fish and are very good if you are keeping a powder tang. Don't know much else about them other than that.
