He should start eating shortly. It is possible that he hasn't gotton used to his surroundings yet and dosn't feel like eating yet. Remember that fish are individualistic and each fish will acclimate to your tank differently! Keep trying the variety of foods, make sure they are appropriately...
There are 4 species of Freshwater moray eels! When I say fresh, I don't mean eels that can tolerate fw or enter fw to breed but live their lives in fw. They are all brownish yellow to brownish green, and aren't very attention grabbing. They have the same requirements as the sw morays and are...
I have a 9" one that I've had for about 3 yrs. now, it went through it juvenile coloration and transformed into a very beautiful adult. No problems with color change or HLLE, great fish! One thing I've noticed he does better when he is the biggest and dominant fish in the tank!
I wouldn't do it, Panther groupers can grow to over 24"!There are lots of other options that you could use, because I think that in time your panther would swollow your clowns!
I only use snails in my cleanup crews, because in reef tanks, crabs and shrimp tend to eat worms and pods that could benefit the system or that could be food for some of the fish inhabitants! I have some cras in a few of my tanl but they came inon the live rock!
YOu could get away with it but, like mentioned in cols post the dominoes wil probably make life uncomfortable for the chormis or even the blue damsels!
Javajoe I to think it's more defensive than offensive when they nip at passing fish, but I too have seen one of the few Emeralds I have kept eating bristle worms, leftover peices silversides and other fish food!
Take him/her out and out it in a q-tank! Then see if you can observe any, and i mean any problems! If you can't , take a water sample to a lfs to get tested and try a copper based medication, maybe he'll get better maybe he won't, good luck anyway!
They'll eat just about anything! I feed mine Formula 1 & 2, Special Formula V.H.P., Brine Shrimp Plus, Angel Formula, Seaweed selects, O.S.I. Marine pellets, and small chopped peices of fresh seafoods!
It could work, but for the large angels you listed I wouldn't put them in a tank smaller than 180g! All three of the Large angels you mentioned can grow to 15"! A fish that size would max out your carrying capacity by itself!
Take it from me big tanks can cost bigs bucks, but when setup correctly, it's well worth the cost. Me & my company have spent over $30,000 on a 440g reef tank and we are just now getting to the stocking stage! After alls said and done it might end up running us about $50k!
