well good luck i just know that at work it has been possible for only afew but they actually didnt mate they came in with the eggs already inside and they just laid them. but i do know that our blacktip reef sharks did mate and we only got 2 pups which were not so successful of living after 2 days.

ok one big problem about the nitrates is that when they are high the phosphates sky rocket. all puffers hate phosphates. what i would do is a 25 percent water change weekly but with reverse osmosis water. keep your salinity like at 1.020 that will allow more oxygen into his swim bladder and...

triggers are from all around the world. when you put any fish that wouldnt see eachother in the wild they tend to fight. any trigger will go with one another for about a day or two but after that they may fight. it's a very common behavior.

i work at the shedd aquarium in chicago and i know personally that it's not that easy to breed any sharks in captivity. it's possible to hatch them but very hard to breed them. yes im a very big fan of the book aquarium sharks and rays by Scott w. michael. i do whatever he says.

the mandarin is usually a fish that needs to feed on polyps and corals. I would recommend having a full blown reef setup for the mandarin.
