    Angel Nipping at Corals??

I have a midnight angel that I really like, but I think it might be bothering some of my corals. I have a pagoda cup coral that opened up really nice in the LFS, but it has been closed up pretty tight since I got it home a couple of days ago. I have also noticed that my clove polyps seem to be...

A thread of silver in this lining...

I too love looking at my tank. Although not on unemployment I am a teacher and it has taken me quite a while to get my tank from nothing to having a few fish and a half dozen corals. I had to buy a second-hand tank and I have gotten an excellent price on all of my fish and corals. I even traded...

    Is Galaxea a good coral?

I have had a condylactis anemone in my 80 gal. tank for about 8 months and I have a couple of T5's and an actinic. It is doing just fine with a couple of pieces of shrimp each week. Condy's are usually inexpensive too. I got mine for 12.99 at my LFS. Otherwise just listen to everyone else's advice.

    New Product Announcement: Wild Toe

I am curious if my sea apple would like it. I know that they like really small pieces of food, maybe even smaller than many corals. So would my apple be able to get benefit from this? Sounds like a great product.

    ibew41 75g reef

I see what looks like a tuxedo urchin in your tank. I have avoided urchins because I thought they were unsafe for reef tanks. Just wondering.

    Green hairy mushrooms

I have read that corals can change color depending on the tank lighting. I know that I have some green mushrooms in my tank that looked more brown than green in the store, but when I got them used to my tank they turned a brighter green. I read that higher lighting decreased the amount of...

    Sally Lightfoot

I have an emerald and a sally lightfoot. They have both been in the tank for about 8 months, and so far they seem to only be interested in algae. I will monitor now that I have read this, though.

Some kind of anemone and LPS??

So what do I do if this is a bleached or dyed anemone?? Is there a chance that it will live, or is it automatically doomed? I really liked the color, and I didn't assume that it was artificial. The foot and everything is a bright yellow, but it is feeding, and it is fairly high up in the...

Some kind of anemone and LPS??

This is my first post, but I have been reading these for over a year, and I have been quite impressed with the amount of knowledge that you guys have. I got these new additions to my tank yesterday, but I am not sure they are what my LFS labeled them as being. I am attaching pics. The LFS said...
