    Refugium methods?

thank you both. Based on ruling out mangroves, my plan is to now run a DSB with macroalgae in a 100 gallon tub with a 30 or 50 gallon Xenia running seperately. Any advantage to running both xenia and macros? (besides LFS tradein value)?

I live right down the street from BMW headquarters so I know what you're saying. Not sure why you took offense to the joke I made about the liscence plate.

    New SPS

Solon is right, Tubinaria is an LPS. It looks remarkably like an SPS because the polyps are small. You have to remember that Tubinaria is the species which includes the scroll as well as the pagoda cups (no arguement on weather that one's an LPS, right?!?)

    new lps

The lighting will depend on what they were in before you had them. If they were under really high lights, they'll have a tough time with your setup. However, if they were under NO lighting they might be a little starved and like the extra light. As far as flow, both prefer lower flow levels...

    Tulip Anemonies + Something else!

I would rid the tulips now while you can. I had them sting a few LPS to death. Either keep them on their own rock island or lose them completely.

    Refugium methods?

What's the latest school of thought on which refugium method is most efficient in removing nitrates? Mangroves? DSB? (I have a shallow bed in the display) Macros ; if so, which kind? Xenia ; if so, which kind? I'm looking for something that requires the least light. Space is not a concern, I...
