What does everyone feed their harlequin tusk?

Salt210, you should be able to find several different garlic products at the stores in Orlando. The store I buy all my fish and supplies at currently has some available. I am not sure if the rules of not posting any other place apply to actual stores too or if it is only for online sources. In...

What does everyone feed their harlequin tusk?

Mine used to love squid and prawn. I too would soak the prawn and squid with garlic and vitamins and the Tusk would gobble it up as many times as I would offer it. Ivan

Anyone else with any idea where to find this species?

    Metallic Blue Grouper

I am not sure I follow your 2 cents Sharkboy13. I understand that nobody can post links to other sites as the rules state but I would imagine that if anyone has info on availability of this fish they would ask me for my email or other contact info. As for the groupers needing huge tanks, I am...

    Metallic Blue Grouper

Hi all: I am getting back into saltwater fish keeping after a 3 year hiatus and am planning to set up a 300 gallon tank soon. However, one of the fishes I must have for this tank is a Metallic Blue Grouper (Anyperodon sp.) I have seen them for sale once at my LFS and they told me they got 2 more...

    To all Trigger lovers

AW2x3, I am not trying to play devil's advocate here but, is it possible that in a tank with excess hiding places fishes can survive a trigger attack or even triggers can survive other triggers? I know that in freshwater keeping you are not supposed to keep several cichlids together (mainly...

    To all Trigger lovers

How about Titan Triggers (Balistoides viridescens)? I have only seen them available once, maybe twice, and they are always in demand. And from what I have read about them, quite aggressive too. Ivan

    To all Trigger lovers

Wow, this got ugly quickly. I am very surprised both of you (fastazzr1 and BIGMAN) are being successful keeping so many triggers together but at the same time I am happy they appear to be doing good. Advice and criticism sometimes go hand in hand and we have to be mature enough to take it either...

    To all Trigger lovers

You are welcome. I have learned to always be neutral but still offer advice. Nothing is guaranteed to happen in this hobby and that's why I really hope all your triggers get along happily. If they don't, then now you know what not to do again and learn from that. But do keep in mind that most of...

    To all Trigger lovers

Sounds like a very impressive setup but, like I isad in another one of your threads, do not take the poor attitude of making the fish suffer for your impulsiveness. Triggers are known for being nasty and very territorial and it is impossible to provide them in captivity with the amount of space...

what is recomended to use to cycle ur tank

I am relatively new to the site as I have not posted or visited in a while since I was out of the saltwater hobby but I agree that you should never rush anything. You were asking for advice and then, when given to you, you get defensive that some people have different opinions than you. I am...

    Strange!

My Clown Trigger will eat Nori algae every day if I allow it. I put Nori in the tank every other day for the Black Tang and the Scribbled Angel but it is the Clown Trigger the first one to it. He will actually eat quite a bit of it before leaving it for the Tang and Angel to finish it. I always...
