    Hitchhiker... clam?

Here's one for you all. Got a rock with 9 shrooms yesterday... good size too. Noticed it had a half dozen barnacles (I think) and some mini stripped brittle stars. Then I noticed that the rock some of the barnacle things were on had a jagged crack in it... that suddenly closed. Clam of...

    Your coolest hitch hiker

Here's mine. Got this guy with a couple blue hermits I purchased for my tank. I asked the guy if he could grab a couple extra shells from the bottom of the tank, and he was hiding in one of them. Very content to pick and clean the rock along with the others. Also got a piece of large rock...

A few IDs. Snail, Algae(?), and Anemone(?)

This little guy appeared about a month ago as a tiny spec that would zip around at lightning speed. Is now .5 in or so and much slower. Is this guy reef safe? These red lettuce leaf looking things started growing in a couple areas on my LR once I got my Calcium levels in range. Finally, I...

    Nudibranch spawning!!!... eeewwwwww

I did my nightly check of the going's on inside my tank, when I noticed about 10 tiny nudibranch (they always cruise around at night) at the highest point in my tank with their bodies half raised off the rock. At first it looked like they had finally begun worshiping the moonlight leds (I knew...

My first saltwater tank - 14g Biocube journal

Hello again Krak, I had the same issue when I upgraded to a maxi 900. I put some pvc plumbers tape around the part of the Flo that connects to the tank. The tape is just really really thin pvc. It's not adhesive, so there is nothing that may leach into the tank. You may also try a thin strip...

Here's a better pic. Anyone seen one of these before? Is it reef safe? (not that I have anything but rock right now).

    ID Please. Odd LFS Hermit.

I posted this in the inverts section before I noticed this one. Here is a pic. Sorry for the poor quality. The legs and body are all white and hairy. The eye stalks and tentacles are dark blue with tiny white speckles. Pretty mellow and about 1/2" across. [edit] This little guy snuck into a...

My first saltwater tank - 14g Biocube journal

Nice tank. I just wanted to add, since nobody mentioned it, that you do not need to concern yourself with the min/max water gauge on the side of the tank. With the addition of LR Rubble in chamber 2, you can then just add water until all three chambers are basically full.

Here is the best photo I could get. Sorry, but it's a little fuzzy. Though its hard to tell, the legs are all white and hairy.

Mystery Hermit - the great white mystery

Hey everyone. First post. Anyway, here's the scoop. I have an odd hermit in my new aquarium that I can't identify or find any info for on the net. It was purchased alone with several of the common red and blue hermits at a LFS. It is all white (legs and claws) like bleached bone, and...
