    T. maxima placement

Girlfriend just brought one home from the LFS. Usually I know as much as possible about what i buy for the tank but this time I'm a little unprepared. Where should the maxima go in the tank- on the sand bed or on the LR?

    red, stringy algae?

no, it is absolutely not red slime bacteria. Sorry, i should have made that clear to begin with. I've been at this long enough to know it is not that. It is very dry looking and stiff.

what color is coraline when it 1st starts growing?

I have flat, pale green algea growing on the rear glass of my tank and it is starting to turn pink in spots. Does coraline start out green and turn pink? It looks like this is what is happening.

    clown hosting bubble coral question

my maroon started hosting my bubble coral almost immediately I put the bubble in the tank. Since then, it's fins are not looking good at all. Could this be caused by stings from the coral? If so, will the clown become immune to it after a while?

    Hi

I have a 29 gal also which I started in Jan 05 with almost no knowledge of saltwater/reef. Have done a TON of research since then and after 6 months I feel I'm off to a great start. My only regret is I wish I would have gone bigger so i could keep more animals...

    Damsel removal

I made the mistake of adding a yellow tail to my tank and he won't leave my maroon clown alone. I can't even come close to catching him. Anyone have advice on how to get it out without taking out all of the LR?

should I remove my yellow tail damsel?

No, I don't have an anenome (we don't really want one). I just got a hammer and bubble coral hoping that it will host one of those. I just noticed another chunk off one of the maroon's bottom fins

should I remove my yellow tail damsel?

I have a 29 gal with a maroon clown, yellow watchman goby, and a yellow tail (I just added it last week). I know i probably shouldn't have added the damsel, but i always thought they were cool looking. Anyway, he won't leave my clown alone and I have been noticing a couple of nips in his fins...
