    Opinions on Neptune Controller

I just purchased an ACjr. It is great! I have it automating fans/lighting/heat. You can program it to do a lot of things...like turn off my MH lighting if temp>82, or turn of VHO lighting if temp>83. Well worth it in my opinion.

    Pods?

You'd better purchase some, or your scooter blenny will starve to death. You could get lucky and get them to feed on food, but their food of choice are pods.

    ? about my Clarkii Clown

Most of my fish fade in color at night. I believe it is part of their defense mechanism. Clowns can do some strange things, so I wouldn't be worried. Brock

    Water Changes

Do you simply dump the water into the tank? I don't have a sump or refuge. Was wondering if I could be stressing things by adding the water quickly. Any hints on actually adding the water? Thanks Brock

    MIAs

UPDATE! This morning I decided to feed the tank with the lights off. To my suprise, I found both gobies. They look fine. Are these things nocturnal? I haven't seen them for 2 weeks. Will they burrow into the DSB and only come out at night? Any thoughts will be appreciated. Hopefully, when...

What do you feed your yellow tang?

Mine is an absolute pig. Eats Formula 1,2, brine, and seaweed selects. Its so funny to watch him go after the seaweed. It's almost like he becomes obsessed with getting it away from the clip. Love my yellow tang. Brock

    Info on Neon Goby

I had a pair for a total of 3 days. The first disappeared on day 2, the second on day 3. Their bodies were never found - an I looked everywhere. They are cool looking fish, but I think I've learned a lesson:confused: . Good luck, Brock

    MIAs

I purchased two neon gobies on Monday. They share a 45 gallon bowfront with a small yellow tang (please no tang police...plan to upgrade tank), two percs, a small 4-striped damsel, and a sand sifting star. I have a 4-6 inch sandbed. Tuesday evening one of the gobies was MIA. I checked...

    Sandsifting Star Question

What do sandsifting stars eat? I would like to get one, but am concerned that there may not be enough "stuff" in my sandbed to provide good nutrition. Would I supplement this with krill or seaweed? Thanks Brock

    Rock Question

Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty sure the rock would not have been treated with anything since it was found in the woods. Would soaking it in water for 30 days or so be enough to get rid of any contaminants? Thanks Brock

    Rock Question

Is there any reason that I can't grab a few nice sized rocks from the back of my house and put it in my saltwater tank. Obviously, I would stay away from rocks that would dissolve - sandstone and limestone. Has anyone else done this? Thanks Brock

    Starfish Won't Eat

My green brittle star will not eat. He has been like this for a couple of weeks. He does not move around and will not eat algae or krill (which he has eaten before). His arms are deteriorating to the point where the tips have fallen off. What should I do? Any Suggestions? Thanks Brock
