Is your 125 60 x 18 x 24? Is your return pump rated at 1200 gph or is that what your guessing after head loss. I have a mag 12 (1200gph at 0 ft) as my return pump and my return is around 1000 gph. Do you see any dead spots in your tank with little or no flow?

The odd thing about the algae is it's only on half the tank. The half with the tunze is almost algae free. I have a turnover of 30 x's an hour right now and it's not enough. I'm ordering 2 Tunze nano's at almost 1200 gph each to boost turnover to 60 x's per hour. I hope this will be enough flow...

Here's a picture of some recent Green Algae growth covering my tank bottom / rocks. Tank has 1 damsel for cycle - feeding heavy. This is the first time I've seen Green Algae covering tank. I usually see a diatom bloom on cycling. How long does this stuff usually stay in tank?

How about a tank description? Flow,skimmer,lights,sump and other filters. If your in a hurry to add somthing now - add macro algae. Macro algae will always have to be trimmed but it's an effective way to help water quality. Alot of reefers will not recommend macro in a display becuase it can...

Nice set-up! Where do you work? Is this a home office? Does your employer know the cost of running a reef tank?

I know nothing about this skimmer - but could a ball valve be used to restrict the air entering the skimmer? Is your pump to powerfull for your skimmer? Just a possibility

How close is the tank to the fire? If you think anything harmfull went into your system? Do a 10% water change just in case. If your talking about your tank starting a fire make sure your outlet is GFI.
