YOU MAYBE ADDING TOO MANY FISH. I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT ADDING DAMSELS. THEY ARE VERY TERRITORIAL AND WILL TAKE OVER A PART OF YOUR TANK.

i agree. I believe tiel-aquatics still makes an ick cure thats reef safe. your lfs make be able to remember the exact name of the product. good luck.

check your phosphate level. if it is high (which it probally is )get some phosphate remover. how long are you keeping your lights on. you gotta have a good clean up crew. maybe add some more blue leg crabs and astrea snails( good on glass) [This message has been edited by jimos (edited 07-03-2000).]

difinetly get a phosphate test kit. what type of lights are you running. ihad the same problem with hair algae. added some phosphate remover, cut down on my lighting to 7 hours a day and added some more astrea snails. no more hair algae problem. give it some time to go away you should start...

go with instant ocean or reef crystals they are the best on the market specifically formulated for your saltwater tank. if you aregoing for a reff tank use reef crystals. instant ocean is more for a fish only tank while reef crystals is for a reef tank.

sound travels 5x faster in water. if that speaker is near the tank it could be stressing out the fish.

i have a coral banded in my reef tank and was wondering if i could add a peppermint shrimp to help out with aptasia. with out having any problems

I have a "banana" eel now for about a week and he hasn't eaten anything yet. I tried feeding it with a stick but it won't eat. I am feeding it frozen fish. Any sugestions?

i am in my 3rd week of cycling. my ammonia has peaked. My shells and coral(not live)are filled with brown algae as well as the sides of the tank. should i clean the brown algae off or just leave it untill i am completely cycled.
