Its a tiny red crab that I've yet to identify. How do I know if its just the skin?

Don't mean to sound like an idiot, but I didn't buy one. Could it have come on the LR? This is the first I'm seeing it if it is and it doesn't look like the pics, it looks more like a nudibranch to me. If it is my nassarius snail, wouldn't I see the horn still attached?

When I woke up this morning, I saw what I thought was one of my nassarius snails without its shell. I have two and I was able to see the one's horn sticking through the sand, but didn't see the other (I was in a rush to get to work) and I saw what I thought was my snail without his shell but it...

So I woke up this morning and my mystery crab was dead! The water got down to 72 degrees somehow and I'm thinking that's why he died but I'm kinda upset, he was cool!

I'm assuming it is one of those two, if I ever see it again I'll try to get a closer look...Do you know anything about hidden cup corals? I still need help identifying the tiny crab I found too but I can't get a pic b/c he stays on the underside of the LR or hides in a hole.

I mean 10 of them could've sat on a nickel, that's how small it was.

I thought it was aptasia but the main body is hard and when it closes in on itself, it just goes into the hard part. I can't get a better picture, sorry. Its above my peppermint shrimp.
