Well, i was just curious...that's how i did it. This was my first water change. When i got finished the glass at the top of my tank that's in the middle there's no water..just some air bubbles????? so i'm thinking is there too much oxygen in here and if so how long before my inverts start...

i have the lights off right now as i am doing a water change and was so happy to see my cbs come out from hiding...woohoooo!!! i did not think that when they molted that that included their feelers!!!!! he only has one claw now though..... :)

Just curious to know how everyone does them. does most everyone have a pump?

Yeah but his feelers are still attached....they don't shed those too do they?????

Thanks for that website! found out from there it's sargassum algae and is totally normal. Comes along after the cycle is finished and dies off after about 6 months. Thanks again!

That would be awesome if that were the case, but i'm not gonna get my hopes up. All that's there are all his little feelers, and his 2 front legs with his little claws. I think he's gone to shrimp heaven. =(

Well, nevermind. Turns out he wasn't shy...he was dead. Since i never saw him i have no idea how long he's been dead. All that's left of him are his claws...found him a little bit ago. Can't figure out what would have done it.

I'm pretty sure they're not polyps..i'll check it out tho. you never know. These are very leafy. They pretty much look like blades of grass...they're kind of thick. And they're kinda brown. Hard to describe in words..hopefully i'll figure out how to put a pic on here so everyone can see what...

These little green pod looking things pop up on my rock then they kind of open up and turn to this greenish brown looking plant? do i need to get after them with a tooth brush to get them off or what? each one has a few leaves...doesn't look like the rest of the kinds of algae i've seen. Thanks.

Just curious if anyone has had this problem....i watch my tank a lot! when the lights are on and off. I added a coral banded shrimp on the 14th and since i've added him he's only been spotted twice...and that was within the first couple of days. did i happen to just get a really skiddish...

Yesterday i had to get both of my peppermint shrimp out of my sump because they went to the top and got sucked in. Fortunately they are both fine.

i had planned on only adding one everytime...every few weeks. depending on how it was going of course.

The tang wouldn't be more territorial being the first one in there??????? was just a thought, i'm sure i'm wrong.

Well, I got my invert package! I ordered it from here. To start out with I got 20 blue leg hermits, 10 turbo snails, 4 emberald crabs, 2 horseshoe crabs (was supposed to be 3), 3 flame scallops, 2 feather dusters, 1 sally lightfoot, and 1 coral-banded shrimp. I've had so much fun watching...

I just added 40lbs of live sand in my tank 2 days ago that i bought from here. It looks great!
