HLLE is head and lateral line errosion. it looks like a discoloration that is whitish when fully developed that usually starts around the eyes and then gradually works it's way down the middle of their body. it's usually caused by poor diet, water quality, too stressed about somethin like size...

i've got 3 tangs in my tank...i have a vlamingi, mimic and a hippo tang. the mimic and vlamingi once in a great while have a small fight but that's it. the vlamingi or the mimic don't even notice the hippo is there.

possibly the start of HLLE. koran angels are prone to it if they aren't being taken care of properly.
