is my heater broken??? Its 82 in my tank...the heater is set to about 70 and its on right now? my tank is too hot during the day! pictures of my one fish!

did another test today. pH: 8.4 Ammonia: 0.5 Nitrite: 0 Nitrates: 10 i think...maybe 5 cant tell a diffrence in the 5 and the 10 on my card!!!! Need some feedback. Perams ok? am i cycling??

Anyone have any suggestions for anything I should change/add to mine before I start really stocking it? One thing I really want to do is the fuge in the 3rd chamber, but I don't know how to go about putting the light in. Any other suggestions?

$30 for 10 lbs of live sand... yay petsmart Sand is settleing. Is it ok to run my filters while it settles?? Or will that mess up the bioballs and such???? Time to save for the next two months so i can get more LR

Built my stand today. It's ugly but it's sturdy. So going to get some LS from petsmart and I guess ill be making some phone calls so get 30 jugs of distilled water! And got a question....should i mix the salt before or after i put it in the tank??? And if i can mix it while its in the tank...
