whould it be ok to put some fish in right now

So what would I do to correct this problem I all ready did a 10g water change and just tested the ammonia again and its still at 1.0 ppm

not feeding anything I dont have anything to feed but If it was just the test kit and every thing was really fine then y wouold my shrimp and my urchant have died????:help:

just the wet / dry filter and a penguin 125 to skim the surface

its been running for about 8 months I have 3 power heads , and a wet dry sump w/ a posiden 2 protein skimmer I have no fish do to low funds i do have 50 crabs , and a sea erchant and 125Lbs LR , 80 Lbs LS

My cleaner Shrimp died today and I took him out then did a ten gallon water change then tested my water and the ammonia was really high what would have caused this spike in Ammonia ? Ammonia 1.0 ppm pH 8.4 Temp 88 F Nitrite 0 ppm Nitrate 0 ppm Cal -450 ppm Alk- High

I was thinking of building my own custom acrylic sump to fit my stand. thinking like 1/8" thick or 1/4 thick. I can get acrylic preatty cheap so I thought that Id try building my own sump. anyone thats tryed this or knows alot about building a sump id love your help Thanks

Well I was looking for a skimmer on e-bay today and I saw a Poseidon2 Protein Skimmer W Dolphin 650 PUMP is this a good skimmer for a 75gal tank or should I get a RED SEA BERLIN SKIMMER. well heres a pic of the Poseidon skimmer
